I have often wondered if my dogs approve of the paint colors I have chosen for our house. When I asked them if they liked my choice of Benjamin Moore deer path 1047 for the kitchen remodel, all I got was an approving head tilt, something I wish my clients would do when I try to explain to them why baby blue isn’t a good paint color choice for their living room.
Actually, there is a difference between our eyes and dogs. The difference has to do with rods and cones. Cones allow us to perceive color while rods perceive shapes. Dogs have more rods than humans, therefore, dogs see shapes extremely well.
By the way, Benjamin Moore cottage red is a wonderful choice for a front entry door color when used with Benjamin Moore bleeker beige HC-80 for the exterior siding or stucco body color. Complete the color scheme with a white trim such as Benjamin Moore linen white 912 and your house will remain a classic. Of course your roof color should always come into play here.
